Lead - Regulatory (Utility Business)

As a Regulatory Lead for utility-scale renewable energy projects, your role is crucial in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as supporting the growth of solar and wind energy initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure regulatory compliance for all utility-scale renewable energy projects, in alignment with laws, regulations, and standards. - Lead the process of securing permits and approvals from regulatory bodies for solar and wind projects. - Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies, clients, and community organizations to maintain transparent communication. - Promote favorable regulatory conditions through advocacy and participation in industry lobbying efforts. - Stay updated on changes in laws, policies, and industry regulations, advising the company on necessary adjustments. - Identify and secure growth opportunities for future projects by working with internal teams and external stakeholders. - Conduct accurate data analysis to optimize the tendering process and ensure market intelligence. - Maintain thorough records related to bidding, regulatory approvals, and stakeholder interactions. - Identify regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle. Qualifications Required: - Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Law, Business, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related field. - Experience: 10-15 years in renewable energy regulatory compliance or stakeholder management. - Strong understanding of renewable energy regulations, permitting, and approvals. - Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and external stakeholders. - Excellent communication and advocacy skills for regulatory engagement. - Strong market analysis and project coordination abilities. - Willingness to travel as required.,
