Lead QA Automation Engineer

with strong expertise in

UI testing and automation frameworks (Playwright/Cypress)

. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of

CSS for UI validation

, version control with

Git

, and automation integration within

CI/CD pipelines

. You will work closely with developers, UX/UI designers, and QA teams to ensure

high-quality, responsive, and scalable web applications

while mentoring junior engineers and driving testing best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform UI validation to ensure styling consistency and responsiveness across multiple browsers and devices using strong CSS knowledge.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright or Cypress for web applications.
  • Use Git for version control, branching strategies, and code reviews.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing and faster releases.
  • Collaborate with developers, UX/UI designers, and QA team members to identify, track, and resolve defects.
  • Create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports.
  • Mentor junior team members and drive best practices in automation and UI testing.
  • Participate in sprint planning, requirement analysis, and design discussions to ensure testability and product quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of CSS for UI validation, styling consistency, and cross-browser testing.
  • Proven experience with Playwright or Cypress for automation testing.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration.
  • Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, DOM).
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Exposure to RESTful APIs and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with TypeScript/JavaScript for automation scripting.
  • Advanced knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured).
