As a Lead Projects Accounts & Finance, your role involves overseeing Capex Planning, Controls, and Commercial Oversight for large-scale projects in a petrochemical or large industrial setting. Your primary responsibilities include: - Capex Planning & Control: - Prepare and monitor project budgets, ensuring alignment with financing plans. - Monitor deviations and provide early alerts to management. - Commercial & Contract Support: - Evaluate commercial/financial terms with procurement/contract teams. - Validate cost impacts of scope changes and support negotiations with suppliers. - Cost Visibility & Reporting: - Maintain transparent dashboards for management visibility. - Track committed, actual, and forecast costs, highlighting risks and savings opportunities. - Risk & Compliance Oversight: - Ensure adherence to internal Delegation of Authority. - Monitor project insurance, guarantees, tax implications, and financing covenants. - Decision Support: - Provide scenario analysis for change orders, delays, or alternate procurement options. - Support management in balancing Capex with lifecycle costs. Your role requires a strong understanding of Capex project lifecycles, contracts, commercial terms, analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate across various teams. Additionally, you will need to be proactive in providing early warnings on overruns and possess strong reporting and presentation skills at the senior management level. Qualifications: - Education: MBA with BE (preferred) or B. Com - Experience: 15+ years in petrochemical or large-scale industrial projects Prior experience in Capex control, commercial management, and dispute resolution will be beneficial for this role. You will interface with SCM, Project Managers, Process Engineers, Treasury, and Accounts teams to ensure project success.
