Packaging Designer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end

  packaging design development

  – from concept sketches to 3D visualizations, mockups, and final production files.
• Create premium, functional packaging that aligns with

  Dabur’s brand language

  , regulatory standards, and user experience expectations.
• Collaborate with marketing, R&D, operations, and regulatory teams for approvals, iterations, and launch readiness.
• Develop high-fidelity

  3D renders

  ,

  visual mockups

  , and

  functional prototypes

  using

  Blender, KeyShot, SolidWorks

  , and other tools.
• Select appropriate

  materials

  based on performance, sustainability, cost, compatibility, and brand aesthetics – across

  glass, HDPE, PET, aluminum, laminates

  , and

  eco-packaging

  .
• Specify

  printing techniques

  (offset, flexo, gravure, screen, digital) and

  special finishes

  (UV, foil, embossing, varnish) for shelf impact and efficiency.
• Coordinate directly with vendors, printers, and packaging converters; supervise

  press approvals

  and production runs.
• Manage

  client interactions

  ,

  internal reviews

  , and external

  design/branding agencies

  for timely execution.
• Keep track of global design trends, material innovations, and competitor benchmarks to propose strategic design enhancements.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to the packaging design knowledge base.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design (Product/Industrial/Packaging Design) from top-tier institutions (e.g., NID, IIT, NIFT, or equivalent).
• Minimum

  8-12 years of experience

  in

  Product and branding design

  , preferably in FMCG or personal care industries.
• Expert-level proficiency in

  3D software

  :

  Blender, KeyShot, SolidWorks

  , along with

  Adobe Creative Suite

  .
• In-depth understanding of

  printing processes

  ,

  materials

  ,

  packaging engineering

  , and

  mockup development workflows

  .

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with

  sustainable packaging

  mono-material designs

  , and

  eco-compliance

  .
• Experience with

  automated filling/packaging lines

  and industrial design constraints.
• Strong verbal and visual presentation skills, including storytelling through mockups and renders.
