Lead Java Developer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications. You will play a key role in leading a team of developers, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring code quality through best practices and design patterns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end Java development for complex applications and enterprise-level solutions.
• Guide and mentor a team of junior/mid-level Java developers.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define technical requirements.
• Review code, design scalable architecture, and enforce coding standards and practices.
• Perform code refactoring, optimization, and troubleshooting to improve performance.
• Own the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design through deployment and support.
• Ensure integration with databases, APIs, and third-party systems.
• Stay updated with emerging Java technologies and incorporate relevant advancements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of hands-on experience in Java development with Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and microservices architecture.
• Proficient in database technologies like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, leadership capabilities, and communication.
• Ability to manage timelines, tasks, and deliverables for self and team.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (React.js, Angular) is an advantage.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to performance tuning and scalability best practices.
