Description
Purpose: Lead the development and maintenance of one or more business applications and ensure project delivery within cost and quality expectation. Role & responsibilities: Communicate, influence, persuade and lead by example, the core values of the company Manage the full SDLC of one or more concurrent projects, including, timeline, checkpoints and cost to ensure timely and quality delivery of services to customers (internal and/or external) Recommend project approach and technology/tools to be used Participate in and propose architecture-level decisions. Analyse, design, program, test, document and maintain IT systems or applications. Self-code for critical modules and review the work of other team members. Research and evaluate new technology tools , develop POCs for relevance and feasibility for adoption Provide technical advice to customers (internal and/or external) in technology products/solutions. Provide technical leadership to team members, and guides staff on system design and programming. Understand the interdependencies of the services (application, system, network and database) and is able to pin-point problem areas accurately to improve overall efficiency. Consistently share information on best practices and technology trends and give recommendation on best practices for business operations. Any other duties as and when assigned. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 7-8 years of experience in the development of enterprise applications/modules using Java, JEE technologies and frameworks. Proven experience as a Lead Software Engineer or similar role. Possess good experience in documenting requirements, low level application and database designs. Must: Strong expertise in java 1.8 and above, microservices architecture, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, React JS, Hibernate/JPA ,SQL, Docker, and Kubernetes. Proficiency in software development methodologies and project management. Proficiency in working with any of the application/web servers Webloigic, Jboss, Tomcat Working experience in Redis, SSO(Keycloak) is an added advantage. Good knowledge/ experience in working with Servlets, JSP, EJB is an added advantage . Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and leadership skills.
