Job Description

Role Summary:

The Lead Generation Specialist for an Intellectual Property (IP) law firm is responsible for identifying and qualifying potential clients needing patent, trademark, copyright, design registration, IP litigation, and related services. The role requires understanding of IP service offerings and the ability to engage with startups, MSMEs, corporates, R&D teams, inventors, and international associates. This position directly supports the firms growth strategy by building a strong pipeline of domestic and international clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients across industries such as Information Technology (IT), Automotives, Semiconductors, Textiles, Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, FMCG, and Startups who may require IP services.
  • Research companies filing patents/trademarks through IP databases.
  • Build lead lists of inventors, founders, legal heads, IP counsels, and R&D managers.
  • Conduct structured outreach via email, LinkedIn, calls, webinars, and industry events
  • Maintain accurate lead data in CRM tools

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills with professional client-facing etiquette.
  • Basic understanding of patents, trademarks, and IP services (training will be provided).
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and lead generation software.
  • Ability to research technical and legal information.
  • Goal-driven, organised, and capable of handling multiple leads.
  • Ability to understand technology domains to match potential IP service requirements.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (Business, or Marketing preferred).
  • 3-8 years of experience in B2B lead generation, ideally in legal, consulting, or technology sectors.
  • Prior experience working with an IP law firm or technology-focused service provider is a strong plus.

KPIs (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Monthly qualified IP leads generated(patents, trademarks, designs)
  • Number of consultations booked with attorneys/partners.
  • Conversion rate from lead opportunity client.
  • Growth of international associate network.
  • Reporting accuracy and CRM discipline.
  • Follow-up effectiveness, especially around statutory deadlines
