Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and articulate Sales Executive to join our team and help grow our Intellectual Property (IP) client base. You will be responsible for identifying leads, educating prospects on our patent, trademark, and design services, and converting them into long-term clients. You will work closely with the marketing, legal, and client servicing teams. Key Responsibilities Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and research potential clients, such as startups, SMEs, R&D units, and innovators. Qualify inbound and outbound leads from marketing campaigns and referrals. Client Outreach: Conduct cold calls, emails, and meetings to pitch IP services. Schedule appointments and follow up with prospective clients. Sales Conversion: Explain IP service offerings (e.g., patent searches, filing, prosecution, trademark registration). Handle client queries regarding timelines, pricing, documentation, and procedures. Collaborate with attorneys to deliver customized solutions for client needs. Close deals and ensure a smooth handover to the legal and operations teams. Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing clients for repeat business and cross-selling. Upsell additional services like IP strategy, IP audits, and portfolio management. Reporting & Coordination: Maintain accurate sales pipelines and records in CRM. Provide feedback to marketing based on market interactions and customer pain points. Meet monthly/quarterly sales targets. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree (preferably in Business, Law, Engineering, or Life Sciences). 2+ years of B2B sales experience; prior IP/legal service experience is a plus. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Understanding of IP basics (patents, trademarks, copyrights). Self-driven with a result-oriented mindset. Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office. Preferred Skills Familiarity with Indian IP law and the IP filing process. Experience selling to startups, tech companies, or R&D teams. Ability to understand technical inventions and innovations. Comfortable with virtual demos, webinars, and LinkedIn networking. Compensation Fixed salary + performance-based incentives/commission.
