Job Description

Design Leadership & Management:

Lead and manage a team of engineers and designers within the [relevant discipline] to develop detailed designs for offshore facilities (e.g., platforms, FPSOs, subsea structures, topsides, pipelines).
Ensure all designs comply with international codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., API, ASME, DNV, ISO, IEC, ABS, Classification Society rules, client specifications).
Establish design philosophies, specifications, and procedures for the discipline.
Develop and implement innovative design solutions to optimize efficiency, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

Technical Expertise & Assurance:

Perform and review complex engineering calculations, analyses, and simulations (e.g., structural analysis, stress analysis, fluid dynamics, electrical load calculations, instrument sizing).
Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
Resolve technical issues and design conflicts during all project phases.

Project Execution & Coordination:

Collaborate effectively with other engineering disciplines (Process, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Piping, Civil, etc.), project management, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for the [relevant discipline] scope.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, vendors, and regulatory bodies for design-related matters.
Support procurement activities by preparing technical requisitions, evaluating vendor proposals, and reviewing vendor documentation.
Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning phases, including potential site visits offshore
