Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure DevOps, AWS Infrastructure Services, and a strong background in security and compliance. This role involves leading a small, high-performance DevOps team, driving automation, ensuring infrastructure scalability, and embedding security into every phase of the DevOps lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
DevOps Leadership

Lead and mentor a team of 4–5 DevOps engineers.

Define, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects using Azure DevOps.

Establish best practices for infrastructure provisioning, deployment, and monitoring.

Cloud Infrastructure Management

Design, implement, and manage cloud environments on Azure and AWS.

Optimize infrastructure for performance, availability, and cost-effectiveness.

Manage IaC (Infrastructure as Code) using Terraform, or CloudFormation.

Security & Compliance

Implement DevSecOps practices, security checks in CI/CD.

Work with security teams to ensure compliance with ISO 27001, SOC2, HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.

Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing coordination, and remediation planning.

Automation & Monitoring

Build automated solutions for infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and healing.

Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.

Implement proactive performance tuning and incident response strategies.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

Work closely with development, QA, and security teams to align DevOps practices with project needs.

Partner with architects to define infrastructure strategies for new solutions.

Manage task planning, sprint contributions, and delivery timelines.

Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise

Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Boards, Artifacts) and AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS).

Experience in Linux & Windows server administration.

Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and load balancers.

Proficient with Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation.

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.

Security

Hands-on with cloud security configurations, encryption, IAM policies, and key management.

Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (Qualys, Nessus, Aqua Security).

Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture and security monitoring tools.

Soft Skills

Proven leadership and mentoring skills for small teams.

Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
