Lead Analyst – Data Governance Specialist

Job Duties

We are looking for a talented and experienced lead analyst with sound knowledge and experience in Data Governance for one of our global Retail Banking Clients.

• Configure and maintain metadata repositories in Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), ingesting metadata from databases (Ex: Snowflake, SQL), ETL tools (Ex: Matillion, PowerCenter), and analytics platforms (Ex: SSRS, Power BI).
• Capture business and technical metadata and support self-service data discovery.
• Maintain business glossary, data domains, classifications, standards, and policies.
• Design, build, and maintain end-to-end data lineage across banking systems, warehouse/Snowflake, ETL tools, and analytics platforms.
• Perform data profiling and implement DQ rules, thresholds, and validation checks.
• Support standardization by designing, developing, and deploying data quality rules to cleanse, validate, enrich, and de-duplicate data to improve accuracy and reliability.
• Build and maintain data quality dashboards, scorecards, KPIs and reports.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and coordinate remediation with stakeholders.
• Monitor data quality for critical data elements and regulatory datasets.
• Configure and optimize IDMC/CDGC platform configuration, usage, users, and access.
• Troubleshoot metadata ingestion, profiling, lineage, and workflow issues.
• Coordinate platform updates, enhancements, and testing with IT.
• Generate and deliver reporting on metadata completeness, DQ scores, lineage coverage, and adoption metrics.
• Provide guidance on best practices for metadata and data quality for IDMC.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Governance roles, with at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC/CDGC.
• Experience in data profiling, data quality rules and scorecard development.
• End-to-end understanding of DQ frameworks, data controls, and business data flows.
• Exposure to Snowflake or similar cloud-based platforms is preferred.
• Experience in migrating from legacy PowerCenter to IDMC is preferred.
• Strong skills in SQL for data validation and analysis.

Excellent skills in verbal and written communication; preparation of MIS reports; and presentation to partner teams, senior managers and executive leadership.
