The role is focused on Cassandra migration from AWS to Azure , configuration of new clusters on Azure VMs, and ensuring high availability for mission critical applications. Exposure to PostgreSQL Flexible Server is a plus, but Cassandra is mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Administer and manage Cassandra clusters hosted on virtual machines (setup, upgrades, replication tuning, nodetool operations). Lead Cassandra migration projects from AWS to Azure, ensuring zero or minimal downtime. Configure new Cassandra clusters in Azure, with data modeling, keyspace planning and tuning based on throughput needs. Create and implement backup, DR and failover strategies for Cassandra databases. Implement monitoring and alerting via Prometheus, Grafana, or other tools for proactive issue detection.
