About The Role
Position - Networking + Transition Manager L1 Rate150K/MLocation Hyderabad/ PuneBand B3Experience Level - 9+ Role
Plan, design and deliver strategic projects to bring business benefits and value to the Organization Conducting various phases of transitionPre-Transition, Transition Phase & Post-Transition Phase Scheduling & Planning Project requirements. Manage and Track Project Milestones and Project expenses Prepare the Project Plan Follow Wipro Transition Management and Governance model and Processes Work closely with Project Stake holders and delivery team. Maintain good Business relationship with Project stake holders. End to end responsibility for the Transition. Provide project updates and reporting to stake holders. Coordinate with Technical and Management teams in Bangalore and globally. Project Scoping Transition Budget tracking and forecasting as applicable Documenting the agreed outcome & processes. Designing, procuring & deploying technology. Leading SLA discussions with clients by involving relevant people Ensuring continuous improvements in service levels by benchmarking the best practices. Coordinating with various functions during the course of transition Smooth Handover to operations teams
Experience(Relevant experience the person must have)
Overall 7 to 10 years of experience in IT Infrastructure area with at least 2 to 3 years’ experience in Infrastructure service Transition Management Strong Transition Management knowledge Experience in using Project Management methodologies and processes is a must Good command of spoken and written English. Good communication and interpersonal skills To work under minimal supervision and should be Self driven Familiar with working in a project environment including planning, deliverables, progress tracking and reporting Ability to articulate how business issues may impact overall IT architecture and planning. Proven ability to consult, support, and inspire colleagues. Capacity to think creatively, yet pragmatically. Preferably ITIL Certified Good awareness of PMP Methodologies for Project Management Knowledge on Six Sigma processes Good skills on preparing Project Presentations and documentations. Knowledge on Microsoft Project and Visio.Good negotiation skills
Job-related Skills
Strong Project Management Skills PMP/Equivalent Certified Preferably ITIL Certified High Level Knowledge on technical on Network Data & Network Voice Consulting and working experience on preparation Business cases and SOW. Prior Project Management experience on IT Infrastructure Transition projects Good working knowledge on Microsoft Project and Visio Willing to travel (60-70% Travel)
Desirable
ITIL and PMP Certification Green Belt Certification MCSE
Educational Qualification - BE, B.Tech. or Diploma or Equivalent in any discipline of Engineering with an MBA preferred.
Tests, Certification
Any of the vendor specific Certifications Preferably certified in ITIL, PMP and Green Belt Technical Certifications related to IT Infrastructure Technologies
Do
Provide adequate support in architecture planning, migration & installation for new projects in own tower (platform/dbase/ middleware/ backup) Lead the structural/ architectural design of a platform/ middleware/ database/ back up etc. according to various system requirements to ensure a highly scalable and extensible solution Conduct technology capacity planning by reviewing the current and future requirements Utilize and leverage the new features of all underlying technologies to ensure smooth functioning of the installed databases and applications/ platforms, as applicable Strategize & implement disaster recovery plans and create and implement backup and recovery plans
Manage the day-to-day operations of the tower Manage day-to-day operations by troubleshooting any issues, conducting root cause analysis (RCA) and developing fixes to avoid similar issues. Plan for and manage upgradations, migration, maintenance, backup, installation and configuration functions for own tower Review the technical performance of own tower and deploy ways to improve efficiency, fine tune performance and reduce performance challenges Develop shift roster for the team to ensure no disruption in the tower Create and update SOPs, Data Responsibility Matrices, operations manuals, daily test plans, data architecture guidance etc. Provide weekly status reports to the client leadership team, internal stakeholders on database activities w.r.t. progress, updates, status, and next steps Leverage technology to develop Service Improvement Plan (SIP) through automation and other initiatives for higher efficiency and effectiveness

Resourcing Forecast talent requirements as per the current and future business needs Hire adequate and right resources for the team Train direct reportees to make right recruitment and selection decisions
Talent Management Ensure 100% compliance to Wipro¢??s standards of adequate onboarding and training for team members to enhance capability & effectiveness Build an internal talent pool of HiPos and ensure their career progression within the organization Promote diversity in leadership positions
Performance Management Set goals for direct reportees, conduct timely performance reviews and appraisals, and give constructive feedback to direct reports. Ensure that organizational programs like Performance Nxt are well understood and that the team is taking the opportunities presented by such programs to their and their levels below
Employee Satisfaction and Engagement Lead and drive engagement initiatives for the team Track team satisfaction scores and identify initiatives to build engagement within the team Proactively challenge the team with larger and enriching projects/ initiatives for the organization or team Exercise employee recognition and appreciation
