Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. The candidate will be responsible for operating lathe machines (manual and/or CNC) to perform various machining operations on metal parts as per engineering drawings and quality standards. Key Responsibilities:Set up and operate lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, threading, grooving, and similar operations. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job instructions. Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure compliance with specifications. Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines and tools. Identify and report any defects or machine malfunctions to the supervisor. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Complete production documentation and follow company quality control procedures. Collaborate with team members and support continuous improvement efforts. Qualifications and Skills:Proven experience as a lathe machine operator (manual and/or CNC). Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and machining symbols. Familiarity with metal types, cutting tools, and machining processes. Basic knowledge of machine maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to work independently with attention to detail. Understanding of safety practices in a machine shop environment.
