Operate manual or CNC lathe machines to perform turning, facing, drilling, and threading operations Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications Set up machines, tools, and workpieces before machining Measure finished components using vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges Ensure products meet quality and dimensional standards Perform routine machine maintenance and lubrication Identify and report machine faults or defects Follow safety rules and maintain a clean work area Meet production targets and deadlines
