CNC & VMC Programmer

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced and technically skilled CNC & VMC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing programs for CNC and VMC machines, setting up machines, selecting tools, and ensuring accurate machining of components as per design specifications. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, write, and optimize CNC/VMC programs using G-code, M-code, or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360, etc.). Interpret and understand mechanical drawings, 2D/3D models, and machining symbols. Set up CNC/VMC machines with the right tools, fixtures, and zero settings. Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining of various materials. Conduct trial runs, make adjustments, and ensure first-piece approval. Monitor the production process and inspect components using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, etc.). Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machine-related issues. Maintain documentation of programs, process sheets, and tool lists. Ensure proper care and maintenance of machines, tools, and equipment. Comply with safety standards and maintain a clean and organized work area. Qualifications and Skills: Diploma / ITI in Mechanical, Production, or Tool & Die Making or related trade. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in CNC/VMC programming and operations. Proficiency in G-code, M-code, and CAM software programming. Strong knowledge of machine operations, cutting tools, and materials. Good understanding of tolerances, GD&T, and quality inspection tools. Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Desirable Skills: Experience with multi-axis machining (3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis). Familiarity with FANUC, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers. Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement practices. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and handle moderate lifting. Attention to detail with good visual and manual dexterity.
