Language Interpreter

Job Title: Language Translator (French, English & Hausa) Location: [Insert Location or Remote] Employment Type: [Full-time / Part-time / Contract] Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Language Translator proficient in French, English, and Hausa to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken content between these three languages while maintaining the original meaning, style, and cultural context. Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate documents, reports, emails, presentations, and other business/technical materials between French, English, and Hausa. Provide interpretation services during meetings, calls, and conferences as needed. Ensure translations are accurate, culturally appropriate, and linguistically consistent. Proofread and edit translated texts to ensure quality and readability. Collaborate with teams to meet deadlines for translation projects. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and client information. Build and maintain a translation glossary and terminology database. Required Skills & QualificationsProficiency (spoken and written) in French, English, and Hausa. Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Translation, Linguistics, Communication, or a related field (preferred). Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in professional settings. Strong understanding of cultural nuances in West African and international contexts. Excellent writing, grammar, and editing skills in all three languages. Ability to work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail. Familiarity with translation software/tools (e.g., SDL Trados, MemoQ, or similar) is an advantage. Preferred QualitiesExperience in business, legal, medical, or technical translations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
