Laboratory Analyst

Job Summary: The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for conducting analytical testing, operating advanced laboratory instrumentation, and performing microbiological procedures to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role involves routine and specialized laboratory analysis, data interpretation, equipment maintenance, and documentation to support research, product development, and quality control activities. Key Responsibilities: Instrumentation: Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical instruments such as HPLC, UV-Vis spectrophotometer and related equipment. Perform routine and non-routine analysis of samples following SOPs and validated methods. Conduct stability studies, method verification, and calibration checks. Troubleshoot instrument issues and coordinate preventive maintenance with service engineers. Microbiological Procedures: Perform aseptic techniques, culture media preparation, and microbial identification methods. Validate and verify microbiological test methods. Maintain sterile laboratory practices to avoid contamination. Conduct microbiological experiments including culture maintenance, microbial screening, and biocompatibility studies. General Laboratory Activities: Prepare, standardize, and store reagents and culture media. Accurately record and interpret test data; prepare technical reports and certificates of analysis. Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper waste disposal in compliance with biosafety regulations. Participate in internal audits, method development, and continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain laboratory hygiene, stock of consumables, and biosafety standards. Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring full regulatory compliance Assist in formulation trials, pilot studies, and scale-up experiments. Document experimental findings, maintain lab notebooks, and prepare research reports.
