About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Lab Assistant – Microbiologist to join our Metalworking Fluid (MWF) Laboratory . The candidate will support microbiological testing, fluid health monitoring, and R&D work related to metalworking fluids, ensuring products meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine microbiological analysis of metalworking fluids (MWFs), including bacterial and fungal counts. Assist in sample preparation, plating, incubation, and enumeration of microbial colonies. Maintain and monitor culture media, reagents, and laboratory consumables . Support contamination studies and assist in evaluating biocide performance in fluids. Record and maintain accurate test results, data sheets, and lab reports . Assist in quality control testing of incoming samples from customers and production batches. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices) , and safety protocols. Maintain laboratory cleanliness, calibration of equipment, and proper sample storage. Provide support to R&D scientists in developing new formulations and microbial resistance studies.
