About the Role

L4 Support Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 

    Level 4 (L4) support

     for Oracle EOM and CDR Generation Extension, handling the most complex and escalated issues from L1–L3 teams.
  • Perform 

    root cause analysis (RCA)

    , permanent fixes, and preventive solutions for recurring issues.
  • Collaborate with Oracle product engineering teams for product defects, hotfixes, and patches.
  • Design and implement custom configurations, advanced tuning, and performance optimization.
  • Support 

    integration with other OSS/BSS systems

     and ensure seamless interoperability.
  • Troubleshoot 

    CDR generation, mediation, and processing issues

     across large-scale telecom environments.
  • Provide 

    knowledge transfer, mentoring, and guidance

     to L1–L3 support teams.
  • Develop and maintain 

    technical documentation, runbooks, and RCA reports

    .
  • Participate in 

    change management, incident management, and problem management

     processes in line with ITIL standards.
  • Work directly with 

    customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams

     to ensure high availability and reliability of services.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 7–10 years of experience in Telecom OSS/BSS support, with at least 3–5 years in 

    Oracle Communications EOM

    .
  • Strong expertise in 

    CDR processing, mediation, and call flow analysis

    .
  • Proficiency in 

    Linux/Unix environments, SQL, and scripting (Shell, Python, or Perl)

    .
  • Hands-on experience with 

    Oracle databases

     and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Familiarity with 

    protocols such as SIP, Diameter, RTP, SS7, and VoIP monitoring

    .
  • Experience working with 

    large-scale telecom operators

     and supporting critical production systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
