Job Role
The Associate (Early Stage Startups) is a consultative client acquisition role focused on the targeted acquisition of early-stage startups, including bootstrapped and seed-funded ventures. This role requires a high-energy individual who can engage with startup founders, drive business acquisition, and meet achieve ambitious growth targets. The team will be provided with targeted acquisition leads, and the primary responsibility is to convert these leads into active banking relationships.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Sales & Startup Acquisition (Primary Focus Area) Drive targeted customer acquisition by engaging with pre-identified early-stage startups and converting them into banking clients. Conduct outreach, pitching, and relationship building with startup founders, CFOs, and finance teams. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for current account openings, deposit mobilization, and transaction banking solutions.
- Lead Conversion & Relationship Management Effectively manage provided acquisition leads, ensuring high conversion rates through consistent follow-ups and engagement. Build and maintain strong relationships with early-stage startup clients, offering tailored banking solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, helping startups structure their banking operations for scalability.
- Ecosystem Engagement & Market Intelligence Network with incubators, accelerators, co-working spaces, and startup communities to identify additional leads and business opportunities. Stay updated on startup trends, funding rounds, and financial needs to offer relevant solutions. Represent the bank at startup events, pitch competitions, and networking forums to generate visibility.
- Cross-Selling & Revenue Growth Identify opportunities for fee-based revenue generation through transaction banking, payments, and cash management solutions. Work with internal teams to develop customized banking solutions that fit early-stage startup requirements. Proactively seek ways to enhance customer engagement and long-term retention.
