Job Description

The Key Account Manager will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with government clients, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the banks services meet the unique needs of government entities. This role is integral to the banks success in the government sector and requires a strategic and relationship-focused approach.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing and growing key government accounts.
  • Excellent relationship-building and networking skills, with the ability to establish trust and rapport with government officials.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Proficiency in using banking software and systems for account management.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make informed business decisions.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for client meetings and industry events.
  • Manage and nurture key government client relationships, ensuring their banking needs are met and exceeded.
  • Identify and acquire new government entities, bodies, and institutions as potential clients.
  • Achieve and exceed business targets assigned for the role, driving revenue growth for the bank.
  • Build connections and maintain strong relationships with government officials and decision-makers.
  • Stay updated on government policies, initiatives, and trends to identify potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored banking solutions for government clients.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of banking services to government clients, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on account activities, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Represent the bank at industry events, conferences, and meetings, promoting the banks services to government entities.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and ethical standards in all interactions with government clients.
