Junior Visual Designer

As a web designer (UI-first) at SimplePlan, you will be an integral part of our award-winning design studio that helps brands big and small enhance their online presence through design, strategy, and branding. **Role Overview:** You will be responsible for creating Stylescapes/Moodboards, UI Design Mockups, Design Systems, and Brandscapes. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating closely with fellow web designers, front-end developers, creative leads, and account executives in our intentionally flat organizational setup. **Key Responsibilities:** - Utilize your 0.5-1 years of experience in digital design to create visually appealing and user-friendly designs - Demonstrate medium-level proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Photoshop & Illustrator - Apply your understanding of UI principles to combine front-end tools effectively - Implement knowledge of typography, color, and Gestalt principles in your designs - Contribute to identity design, grid systems, communication design, editorial layouts, and more - Act as a problem solver by identifying issues and proposing innovative solutions - Share your opinions on why specific design solutions work - Proactively identify opportunities and take action when necessary - Provide and receive feedback constructively, prioritizing the end result over personal ego - Embrace demanding work without compromising on work-life balance **Qualifications Required:** - 0.5-1 years of experience in digital design, preferably website and web-app design - Medium-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop & Illustrator - Strong understanding of UI principles, typography, color, and Gestalt principles - Knowledge of identity design, grid systems, communication design, and editorial layouts - Ability to solve problems creatively and proactively - Aptitude for giving and receiving feedback effectively - Excitement for challenging work that upholds high standards and emphasizes quality over speed At SimplePlan, you will experience a consulting, learning, growth, and human-centric environment where communication, collaboration, and kindness are valued.
