About Us

10 GHz Metamaterial Electronically Scanned Array (MESA)

The Role

3rd-year B.Tech/B.E. students

Key Responsibilities
  • Write scripts in

    Python, MATLAB, or C++

    (expertise in

    one

is sufficient) to automate test equipment (e.g., Vector Network Analyzers, power supplies) or process radar signals (e.g., FFT for range/velocity).
  • Assist in

    electromagnetic simulations

of metamaterial antennas using Ansys HFSS or CST Microwave Studio (training provided).
  • Support

    PCB assembly

by soldering components (e.g., varactor diodes) for RF circuits or bias networks.
  • Help test the radar system in an anechoic chamber, collecting and analyzing performance data.
  • Document code, simulation results, or test findings in technical reports.

Qualifications
  • Current

    3rd-year B.Tech/B.E. student

in Electronics & Communication (ECE), Electrical & Electronics (EEE), Computer Science (CSE), or related fields.
  • Proficiency in

    at least one

    of the following:

    Python

    ,

    MATLAB

    , or

    C++

for scripting, data analysis, or signal processing.
  • Basic understanding of

    electromagnetics

    or

    signals and systems

from coursework (e.g., wave propagation, Fourier transforms).
  • Enthusiasm to learn RF engineering, metamaterials, or radar systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Skills (Optional)
  • Exposure to

    Ansys HFSS

    ,

    CST Microwave Studio

    , or

    KiCad

    through coursework or projects.
  • Familiarity with

    lab equipment

(e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters) or RF tools (e.g., spectrum analyzers).
  • Basic knowledge of

    digital signal processing

(e.g., FFT) or machine learning (e.g., TensorFlow for CNNs).

What We Offer
  • Hands-on experience with a

    10 GHz MESA radar

    and

    metamaterial antennas

    .
  • Mentorship from RF engineers and software developers.
  • Training in tools like Ansys HFSS, CST, KiCad, or signal processing libraries.
  • Flexible hours to fit academic schedules.
  • Stipend

: [Specify, e.g., INR 10,000–15,000/month or Competitive] or Certificate of Completion.
  • Opportunity to build a portfolio with real-world radar projects.

How to Apply

Submit the following to [Specify Email or Application Link, e.g., careers@mesaradar.com]:

  • Resume

highlighting coursework, projects, or skills in Python, MATLAB, C++, or electronics.
  • Cover Letter

(optional) explaining your interest in radar or RF engineering.
  • GitHub Profile

or code samples (if available) in Python, MATLAB, or C++.
  • Academic Transcript

    (unofficial) to confirm 3rd-year status.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a technical interview, including a simple coding task (e.g., Python script for signal plotting) or discussion of basic radar concepts.
