Surf is Malta’s first local commerce network, designed to empower small businesses and make digital selling simple. Our mission is to connect local sellers with customers through an intuitive and beautifully crafted digital experience by blending technology, creativity, and community impact.

We’re looking for a Junior Product Designer who’s eager to make an immediate impact by enhancing the design and usability of Surf’s web and mobile products. You’ll collaborate closely with our product, marketing, and development teams to shape how Surf looks, feels, and functions for both sellers and customers.

What You’ll Do

• Design and enhance Surf’s website visuals, banners, and marketing creatives, ensuring a modern and consistent brand identity.
• Work on UI/UX improvements for both the Seller App and Customer App, making them more intuitive and visually engaging.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to translate ideas into pixel-perfect, user-friendly interfaces.
• Contribute to the evolution of Surf’s design system, helping standardize components and interactions across all platforms.
• Support the marketing team with campaign assets, product visuals, and design concepts that align with brand goals.
• Continuously analyze and improve the user experience based on feedback and usability testing.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of experience in UI/UX or Product Design (startup or SaaS experience is a plus).
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
• A strong understanding of design systems, component libraries, and responsive design.
• A portfolio showcasing clean, modern design and thoughtful user experience.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for crafting seamless digital journeys.
• Ability to work remotely and independently, while staying aligned with the product team’s goals.
• A proactive mindset where you don’t just design what’s asked, you question, refine, and elevate.
