Job Description: Junior Engineer – MEP

Key Responsibilities:

1. Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing Execution:

o Supervise the execution of HVAC systems, including ducting, chillers, AHUs, VRF units, exhaust, and ventilation systems.

o Ensure proper installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, sanitary, stormwater drainage, and gas distribution systems.

o Oversee electrical system installations such as main power distribution panels, sub-panels, wiring, lighting, earthing, and load management.

o Coordinate the layout of services to prevent clashes between electrical, mechanical, and plumbing works.

2. Quality Assurance & Compliance:

o Ensure all MEP works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, design specifications, and IS standards.

o Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and material quality.

o Verify and maintain inspection and test reports (ITRs), method statements, and quality checklists.

o Support the testing and commissioning of all MEP systems and ensure successful handover.

3. Coordination & Documentation:

o Coordinate effectively with the civil, structural, and finishing teams to ensure smooth integration of MEP services.

o Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and vendors to resolve technical queries and design conflicts.

o Prepare and maintain daily progress reports, material consumption records, and site documentation.

o Track and report on the installation progress, ensuring adherence to project timelines.

4. Safety & Standards:

o Enforce safety practices during execution in line with site safety protocols.

o Ensure all tools, materials, and installations comply with safety regulations and environmental standards.

o Report unsafe practices and assist the Safety Officer in maintaining a safe work environment.

5. Material & Resource Management:

o Inspect incoming MEP materials for quality and compliance before installation.

o Assist in planning material requirements, manpower allocation, and sequencing of works.

o Coordinate with the purchase department for timely delivery of materials and ensure minimal wastage.

Desired Candidate Profile:

· B.E. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in the execution of residential or commercial projects.

· Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and firefighting systems.

· Ability to interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and design details.

· Familiar with IS codes, NBC standards, and quality assurance procedures.

· Excellent coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Proficient in using MS Office, AutoCAD, and project monitoring tools.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
