About India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA):

The India Mental Health Alliance (IMHA) was set up in 2023 by Founding Trustees Vasvi and Ashish Bharat Ram, in partnership with mental health organisations Amaha and Children First. The lived experiences of several of the founding cohort and trustees has been the founding inspiration for setting up IMHA in 2023. IMHA aims to strengthen mental health systems by enhancing the capacities of key stakeholders and fostering collaboration across sectors. It prioritises lived experiences to shape inclusive and effective mental health initiatives.

Position Summary:

IMHA is seeking a creative, detail-oriented Junior Designer & Social Media Associate to support our growing communications team. This role is ideal for someone with strong design skills, a keen visual sense, and an interest in mental health communication. You will work closely with the senior team to execute digital content, design visual assets, manage social media posting, and support content capture at events.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, eager to learn, and comfortable working across multiple platforms and formats — from static posts and reels to Mailchimp emailers and basic video edits.

Responsibilities:

1. Design & Creative Execution

  • Create high-quality visual assets (static posts, reels, posters, digital flyers, presentations) using design software (Canva, Adobe Suite, Figma or similar).
  • Maintain visual consistency with IMHA’s brand guidelines.
  • Support design requirements for events, reports, workshops, and campaigns.
  • Edit short-form videos for Instagram, LinkedIn, and multi-platform use.

2. Ad-hoc & In-House Design Requirements

  • Collaterals for events, workshops, and partnerships
  • One-off design requirements such as posters, infographics, concept notes, brochures, internal decks, and communication templates
  • Quick-turnaround design requests from teams
  • Ensuring visual consistency across all IMHA materials

3. Social Media Execution

  • Execute daily/weekly posting across platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).
  • Assist with drafting captions and ensuring brand tone, accuracy, and clarity.
  • Track engagement analytics and present basic insights to the team.
  • Support the planning and execution of pre- and post-event coverage.
  • Support basic performance marketing tasks, including tracking post performance, monitoring audience insights, and suggesting content improvements based on analytics.

4. Emailers & Digital Operations

  • Create and send Mailchimp emailers (invites, newsletters, updates).
  • Maintain and update mailing lists, ensuring accuracy and segmentation.

5. Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Senior Communications & Digital Execution Manager and the Communications Lead.
  • Coordinate with external vendors when required (photographers, videographers).
  • Support timely delivery of all content and communication requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience

    in design, social media, or digital communications.
  • Strong proficiency in design tools (Canva required; Adobe Suite preferred).
  • Basic video editing skills (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Rush, or similar).
  • Experience with

    Mailchimp

    is required.
  • Strong understanding of social media execution for B2B audiences — especially Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Good written English and an eye for detail.
  • Ability to manage timelines and deliver multiple design assets simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with content capture (photos, short videos) is preferred.
  • Interest in mental health is preferred but not mandatory.
