Role:


This is a full-time, on-site position for a Junior Associate Lawyer for our office located in Ernakulam. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical ability, and a collaborative mindset, with a focus on teamwork. The Junior Associate will be involved in handling transaction-based corporate work, conducting legal research, drafting and reviewing legal documents, and providing advisory support on a range of corporate and commercial matters. The role also includes participation in client meetings, managing correspondence with clients and regulatory authorities, and assisting in dispute resolution proceedings. This position offers significant exposure to complex, high-value transactions and disputes within a collaborative and research-driven environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist in handling transaction-based work in corporate and commercial law.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal research and due diligence.
  • Draft, review, and vet legal documents, contracts, and opinions.
  • Provide legal advice and support on matters involving financial restructuring, corporate insolvency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in client meetings and manage correspondence with clients, counterparties, and regulatory authorities.
  • Support senior counsels in arbitration and dispute resolution matters.


Qualifications:


  • Strong legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting and reviewing corporate and transactional documents.
  • Foundational knowledge in Corporate Insolvency, Financial Restructuring, FinTech, Alternative Investment Funds, Foreign Exchange Management, and Contract Law.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Educational Qualification: LL.B. / CS / CA.
  • Prior experience in dispute resolution or commercial transactions will be considered an advantage.
