Job Description

Job Summary:

The Junior Accountant will assist in managing day-to-day accounting operations including bookkeeping, data entry, reconciliation, and basic financial reporting. The role requires accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to company accounting policies and statutory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Record day-to-day financial transactions and ensure accuracy in entries to ledgers.
Prepare and maintain purchase, sales, and expense vouchers.
Assist in maintaining accounts payable and receivable records.
Handle bank reconciliation and petty cash management.
Support in preparing monthly GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
Coordinate with vendors and customers for payment follow-ups and reconciliation.
Assist in closing books of accounts at month-end and year-end.
Maintain proper filing and documentation of all accounting records.
Support audit activities by preparing required schedules and documents.
Generate MIS reports as required by management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Hands-on experience with accounting software (e.g., Tally ERP, Excel, or similar).
Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and other tax compliances.
Good communication and coordination skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:

B.Com / M.Com / or equivalent degree in Accounting or Finance.
0–2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Experience in a manufacturing or trading/sales unit will be an added advantage.

Working Days: Monday to Saturday]
Timings: 9:30am to 6:30pm
