Job Summary:

The Assistant Accountant will support day-to-day finance and accounting operations. The role involves maintaining financial records, processing transactions, assisting in ledger management, and supporting monthly closing activities. The candidate must be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working with numbers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts (Purchase, Sales, Ledger & Cash Book).

2. Prepare and enter accounting vouchers (Payment, Receipt, Journal, Contra).

3. Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable entries.

4. Assist in GST working, GST returns preparation, and filing support.

5. Assist in TDS calculation and return preparation.

6. Support in monthly bank reconciliation statements.

7. Maintain records of invoices, bills, and supporting documents.

8. Assist in payroll preparation and employee reimbursement records.

9. Coordinate with vendors and clients regarding payment confirmations and follow-ups.

10. Assist in preparation of MIS reports and monthly closing activities.

11. Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Skills & Qualifications Required:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com / M.Com) or equivalent specialization.

2. 1–2 years of experience in accounting or finance .

3. Good knowledge of Accounting Principles.

4. Hands-on experience in Tally ERP / Tally Prime (preferred).

5. Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.

6. Basic knowledge of GST, TDS & Income Tax procedures (preferred).

7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

8. Good communication and organizational skills.
