Jr./Mid Data Engineer

Roles And Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining data ingestion, processing, and analytical pipelines using AWS services (ETL/ELT preferred)Support the design of data models for performance and reliabilityWork with big data, relational databases, NoSQL, and data warehouse solutions under guidanceCollaborate with senior engineers on developing, monitoring, and maintaining data pipelinesHandle moderate data volumes (10GB–50GB) for ingestion and processingExposure to tools like AWS Glue, Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, Spark, or Airflow is beneficialParticipate in data migration and ETL/ELT pipeline development and monitoringWrite programs/scripts in Python and SQL for data analysis and reportingGain hands-on knowledge with data warehouses like Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQueryWork with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL, SQL Server) and basic NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)Learn to write queries, functions, procedures, and support performance optimizationCollaborate on data migration tasks with manual and automated processesCommunicate effectively within your team and attend internal meetingsAWS certification or active learning towards it is a plus

Desired Skills

2-3 years’ experience in a technical data engineering role (internships count)Fundamental understanding of data pipeline concepts, ETL/ELT, and AWS toolsGood programming skills in Python and working knowledge of SQLWillingness to learn, adapt, and grow in fast-paced environmentsThis JD balances growth, support, and foundational skills to match candidates at the junior stage, while keeping the flavor of your original requirements.
