Jr. Sample Executive cum Jr. Merchant

Position: Jr. Sample Executive cum Jr. Merchant
Department: Garment Division (Merchandising & Marketing)
Reports to: Senior Merchant / Sampling Head
Key Responsibilities: Sampling & Merchandising

• Assist in development of new samples as per buyer’s requirements and market trends.
• Coordinate with sampling unit, fabric & trims department for timely execution of samples.
• Maintain records of all sample developments, approvals, and buyer feedback.
• Support senior merchant in costing, order follow-ups, and production coordination.
• Ensure proper communication with buyers, suppliers, and internal teams regarding sample status.
• Prepare and maintain tech packs, sample trackers, and sample dispatch records.

Marketing & Business Development

• Assist in identifying new buyers, markets, and trends for garment products.
• Prepare marketing materials such as product catalogs, look-books, and presentations.
• Participate in buyer meetings, trade fairs, and exhibitions to promote company products.
• Coordinate with marketing team to execute social media and online promotion of new collections.
• Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and upcoming trends.
• Support in building and maintaining strong relationships with buyers and agents.

Coordination & Documentation

• Prepare reports for buyer queries, sample status, and order updates.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of orders.
• Follow-up on buyer comments and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Maintain all files related to merchandising, samples, and marketing activities.

Skills & Competencies

• Basic knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and production process.
• Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal & written).
• Good understanding of marketing, buyer relations, and product promotion.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to multitask, handle deadlines, and work in a team environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma in Fashion Designing, Textile, Apparel Merchandising, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in garment merchandising/sampling/marketing.
• Freshers with internship experience in garment division may also apply.

Note: Male Candidate from Surat area will given preferences.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
