Jr. QA Engineer

About the Role:

We are looking for a Junior QA Engineer with 1–3 years of hands-on experience in the IT service industry to ensure the quality and reliability of our custom web development projects. The ideal candidate will have experience testing custom-built web and mobile applications, with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web applications, mobile applications and open source technologies.
• Review and analyze requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
• Prepare and execute test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Identify, document, and track defects using tools such as Asana, Basecamp, or similar.
• Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, and designers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Conduct regression, functional, UI/UX, and cross-browser testing.
• Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing to ensure quality standards are met.
• Participate in client demos or internal reviews as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1–3 years of QA/testing experience in a service-based IT company.
• Strong knowledge of manual testing processes and QA methodologies.
• Familiarity with PHP, Python-based applications and WordPress , Shopify, WooCommerce CMS.
• Experience testing responsive designs, APIs, and custom web solutions.
• Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript is a plus.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Good to Have:

• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Exposure to eCommerce, plugin, or theme testing in WordPress.
