The candidate will be responsible for creating precise 3D models and detailed 2D drawings for low- and medium-voltage busbar trunking systems, focusing on manufacturability, performance, and innovation. Key Responsibilities: Develop 3D models and 2D technical drawings of busbar components, enclosures, phase crossover units, contact assemblies, and support structures using SolidWorks. Design and update assemblies for aluminum and copper busbar systems with different current ratings (e.g., 400A to 6300A). Modify designs as per R&D feedback, manufacturing constraints, and customer requirements. Apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards for precise fabrication. Create BOMs (Bill of Materials) and DXF files for laser cutting, punching, and bending. Collaborate with the production and quality departments to ensure design feasibility and support prototyping. Design sheet metal parts, insulation layouts, and support parts using best design practices. Follow Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing principles for continuous improvement in designs. Maintain proper version control and documentation of all design files. Ensure compliance with relevant IEC standards for busbar trunking systems. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field. 2–5 years of experience in SolidWorks design, preferably in electrical or mechanical panel/busbar systems. Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D/2D, Sheet Metal, Weldments, and Assembly modeling. Basic understanding of electrical busbar systems, conductivity materials, insulation, and thermal expansion is preferred. Experience with PDM, AutoCAD, or similar CAD tools is an advantage. Strong attention to detail, creativity, and ability to work under deadlines. Preferred Attributes: Familiarity with IEC 61439, IP protection levels, and heat dissipation techniques.
