Job Title: Production Manager Department: Production / Operations Location: Changa - Jamnagar Reporting To: HOD – Production / Operations Job Summary: The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing all shop floor activities, supervising production and inspection teams, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This role acts as a bridge between the floor team and higher management. Key Responsibilities: Report to the HOD for daily production status, shift-wise output, and any major breakdowns. Supervise the work of Line Supervisors, Operators, and Line Inspectors across all shifts. Verify and ensure that all production-related documents (e.g., in-process inspection reports, process sheets, checklists, rejection records) are filled correctly and timely. Monitor raw material availability and raise material requisitions to avoid stoppages. Coordinate with the Maintenance team for timely resolution of machine-related issues. Track and reduce rework, rejection, and downtime through effective root cause analysis. Ensure the workforce follows safety procedures and PPE usage at all times. Maintain shop floor hygiene, cleanliness, and implement 5S practices. Assist in daily production planning and shift-wise target setting. Conduct on-the-floor checks to ensure process compliance and standard operating procedures are followed. Evaluate operator performance and suggest training or job rotation where required. Collect data and prepare reports for production, quality, downtime, manpower, and absenteeism. Participate in morning meetings and review sessions with the HOD and management. Support audits (internal/external) and ensure readiness of floor documentation. Monitor shift changeover process to ensure proper communication and handover. Assist in implementation of Kaizen, Lean, and Continuous Improvement activities. Handle emergency situations (machine failure, manpower shortage) with quick decision-making. Control use of tools, gauges, and fixtures to prevent loss and damage. Raise requests for consumables and monitor inventory usage. Maintain discipline, resolve floor-level conflicts, and escalate issues to HOD if needed. Qualifications and Skills: ITI / Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial or Production Engineering 3–6 years of relevant supervisory experience in a manufacturing setup Good understanding of production flow, quality control, and shop floor documentation Basic knowledge of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting Familiarity with ERP systems and MS Excel Strong communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills Ability to manage workforce under pressure and in shift operations Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Leave encashment Paid sick time Paid time off Provident Fund Schedule: Day shift Education: Bachelor's (Preferred) Experience: Production management: 3 years (Required) Work Location: In person

Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications and content, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies. 15. Proper shift handover and takeover with documentation. 16. Proper log sheet preparations and handover shift-wise. 17. Proper production and raw materials pre-planning. 18. All the necessary utility equipment and accessories are to be checked privately and handed over shift-wise.
