Job Title: Software Development Engineer – Java Full Stack Location: Remote Contract: 6 months Work timings: 8 am to 5 pm IST Experience Level: 5 to 7 years preferred (Min 3+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level products) Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer – Java Full Stack to join our dynamic and forward-thinking engineering team. As a senior contributor, you will be responsible for designing and delivering scalable, high-performance microservices and web applications that meet complex business needs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, UX/UI Design, Quality Assurance, and DevOps to develop enterprise-grade solutions using a modern and diverse tech stack. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about full stack development, and enjoys mentoring junior engineers and leading technical initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Design & Development: Architect, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate. Design and build RESTful APIs based on specifications from Product and UX teams. Ensure seamless integration of backend and frontend systems using Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS. • Infrastructure & Tooling: Leverage technologies such as Kafka, Elasticsearch, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift for building robust distributed systems. Participate in continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Bitbucket, and Artifactory. • Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Product Management, Designers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality features on time. Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. • Mentorship & Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers. Contribute to code reviews, enforce coding standards, and promote engineering best practices. Lead by example through strong technical decisions and proactive problem solving. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience developing enterprise-level products. Proven experience leading small engineering teams or technical initiatives. Advanced English communication skills (both written and verbal). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Technical Skills Backend: Java, Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate, Microservices Messaging & Caching: Kafka, Redis Search: Elasticsearch Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift Frontend: Angular, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS Data Formats: JSON, RESTful APIs Version Control & CI/CD: GitLab, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Artifactory Cloud Platforms: Working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent collaboration and communication abilities Demonstrated initiative and leadership capabilities Passion for continuous learning and adopting new technologies Nice to Have Experience in test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) Certifications in cloud platforms or related technologies Show more Show less
