5+ years of experience in report development and migration Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Reports (6i/10g/11g) Proficient in JasperReports , Jaspersoft Studio , and JRXML templates Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL Working knowledge of Java and JasperReports API Experience configuring JDBC data sources and working with complex datasets Familiarity with JasperReports Server : deployment, user management, and scheduling Experience with Git or version control tools Good communication skills and ability to work with business stakeholders Preferred Qualifications: Experience with iReport Designer (legacy support) Exposure to CI/CD for report deployment Knowledge of ETL tools or data transformation processes Oracle and/or JasperReports certification is a plus Roles and Responsibilities **Job Title: Jaspersoft Developer - 002** **Job Location:** Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India / Pune, Maharashtra, India **Experience:** 5 to 8 years --- ### Roles and Responsibilities: 1. **Jaspersoft Development:** - Design, develop, and maintain several Jaspersoft reporting solutions using JRXML templates and JasperAPI to meet specific business requirements. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into clear and actionable reporting specs. 2. **Database Management:** - Utilize PL/SQL for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes to support reporting needs. - Design efficient SQL queries and optimize database performance for generating timely reports. 3. **Integration:** - Integrate Jaspersoft reports with existing applications and databases, leveraging JDBC for seamless data connectivity and reporting. 4. **Testing and Validation:** - Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports to ensure data accuracy and adherence to requirements before deployment. - Support end-users in validating reports for operational effectiveness and troubleshoot any issues that arise. 5. **Documentation:** - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for developed reports, including frameworks, data sources, and design methodologies. - Ensure all specifications and design documents comply with organizational standards. 6. **Performance Optimization:** - Monitor report performance and identify areas for optimization to enhance efficiency and user experience. - Implement best practices in report development to localize and streamline reporting processes. 7. **Collaboration:** - Work closely with cross-functional teams including analysts, project managers, and other developers to ensure alignment and timely delivery of projects. - Participate in code reviews and contribute to shared knowledge within the development team. 8. **Continuous Improvement:** - Stay updated with the latest Jaspersoft features and enhancements to implement improvements in solutions. - Provide training and support to junior developers and team members as needed. --- ### Desired Skills: - Proficiency in Java, JDBC, JRXML Templates, and JasperAPI for effective report design and development. - Strong command of PL/SQL for data manipulation and reporting purposes. ### Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Between 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in Jaspersoft development and database management. **A proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills will be essential for success in this role.**
