Job Category: Job Type: Job Location: Experience Level: We are seeking a talented and experienced IVR Developer with a strong background in Asterisk and SIP protocols. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Interactive Voice Response (IVR) systems and ensuring seamless SIP session management. This position requires hands-on experience with Asterisk-based platforms, telephony systems, and SIP protocols. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain IVR systems using Asterisk PBX and associated telephony protocols (SIP, RTP). Develop and customize SIP-based voice solutions, including call routing, session management, and termination. Create and maintain custom dial plans, IVR menus, and voice applications to meet business needs. Integrate IVR systems with databases, CRMs, and other backend systems to enhance functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Asterisk, SIP configurations, call routing, and system performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including QA, to ensure system reliability and performance. Implement security best practices for SIP and Asterisk systems to protect against potential threats (e.g., SIP-based attacks). Optimize the performance of IVR applications, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and responsiveness. Maintain system documentation and create training materials for internal teams. Required Skills: Strong experience with Asterisk PBX platform and IVR development. In-depth knowledge of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) , RTP (Real-Time Protocol) , and other telephony protocols. Proficiency in Asterisk Dial Plan (extensions.conf) and AGI (Asterisk Gateway Interface) scripting. Experience with IVR design and integration, including voice prompts, menu options, and automated call routing. Strong troubleshooting skills in telephony and VoIP environments, particularly with SIP-based systems. Familiarity with Asterisk modules and dial plan features, including Voicemail , Call Queues , Conferences , and Call Recording . Experience with telephony hardware integration (e.g., PRI, Analog, and VoIP gateways). Knowledge of Linux-based environments (CentOS, Ubuntu) as they relate to Asterisk deployment. Proficient in programming languages such as, Perl , Python , or Bash scripting for system automation. Familiarity with VoIP services and related technologies, such as codecs, NAT traversal, and firewall configurations. Strong understanding of telephony network architecture and security best practices. Experience with FreePBX , Elastix , or other Asterisk-based distributions. Hands-on experience with WebRTC and SIP trunking . Knowledge of MySQL or other databases for backend integrations. Familiarity with cloud-based telephony solutions (AWS, Azure) and APIs. Experience with IVR platforms like Genesys , Cisco UCCE , or Twilio . Certifications or training in telephony systems or Asterisk (e.g., Digium Certified Asterisk Administrator).
