Technical Support (L1) Job Category: Job Type: Job Location: Experience Level: Job Summary We are seeking a proactive L1 Support Engineer with a strong foundation in Java , JavaScript , and MySQL to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing support tickets, troubleshooting application issues, resolving client queries, and ensuring timely and effective communication. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical curiosity, and a client-focused mindset. Key Responsibilities Ticket Management : Monitor, log, and respond to incoming support tickets. Ensure timely resolution or escalation, as appropriate. Application Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve issues related to both front-end and back-end components of Java or JavaScript-based applications. Client Interaction : Communicate effectively with clients to gather issue details, provide updates, and deliver clear, timely solutions. SQL Query Handling : Execute and troubleshoot basic MySQL queries to retrieve, insert, or update data. Address issues such as missing or incorrect records. API Support : Understand RESTful API workflows and assist in identifying issues with API requests and responses. Database Troubleshooting : Identify and resolve problems related to slow queries or incorrect data. Provide support for indexing and basic performance optimization in MySQL. Error Diagnosis : Utilize browser developer tools and server logs to identify JavaScript or application-level errors. Application Support Experience : Provide end-to-end support across various applications, ensuring system stability and functionality. Client Coordination : Serve as a liaison between clients and internal technical teams, ensuring smooth communication throughout the ticket lifecycle. Required Skills and Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in L1 support or similar technical support roles. Strong understanding of Java fundamentals , including variables, data types, loops, conditionals, exception handling, and OOP principles. Basic to intermediate knowledge of JavaScript , covering functions, loops, variables, and DOM manipulation. Proficiency in MySQL , with the ability to write and debug basic queries and recognize common database issues. Basic debugging skills , including interpreting stack traces and resolving Java/JavaScript errors. Familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring or Hibernate (basic understanding is sufficient). Excellent communication skills , both written and verbal, for clear and professional client interactions.
