Job Description

An IT Coordinator is responsible for maintaining an organization's IT systems and networks, ensuring their smooth and efficient operation. This role involves a mix of technical and administrative tasks, including troubleshooting, user support, and coordinating with vendors.  Key Responsibilities: Technical Support: Installing and configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to end-users.  System Maintenance: Monitoring system performance, managing network security, and ensuring data backup and recovery.  Vendor Management: Coordinating with external IT vendors for procurement, maintenance, and support.  Policy Implementation: Assisting in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures, including security protocols.  Training and Documentation: Conducting training sessions for users on new technologies and maintaining documentation for IT processes and troubleshooting steps.  Project Management: Participating in or managing IT-related projects, such as system upgrades or new technology implementations.  Budget Management: Assisting in the preparation and management of the IT budget.  Security: Ensuring systems are secure, managing firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and monitoring for unusual activity, according to 100Hires.  Documentation: Maintaining records of software licenses, warranties, and hardware and software inventories.  Communication: Facilitating communication between IT teams, departments, and management.  Skills Required: Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, software, and hardware.  Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively.  Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with users, vendors, and other stakeholders.  Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines.  Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to users.  Adaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and evolving IT landscape.  In essence, an IT Coordinator acts as a bridge between the technical aspects of IT and the needs of the organization's users.
