Role Overview

network, database, infrastructure, endpoint, and encryption domains

Key Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of 

  network design, segmentation, high availability, and security controls

   across LAN, WAN, VPN, DMZ, and cloud environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of 

  firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, proxies, load balancers, NAC, wireless security, and remote access technologies

  .
• Solid experience with 

  databases

   (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) including 

  access management, privileges, backup/retention, encryption, and activity monitoring

  .
• Familiarity with 

  infrastructure security solutions

   such as CASB, EDR, SASE, PIM, DLP, AD security, and advanced threat protection tools.
• Knowledge of 

  endpoint security controls

   including hardening, patching, antivirus management, and monitoring.
• Good exposure to 

  encryption and cryptographic practices

   such as PKI, SSL/TLS, key management, and database encryption.
• Understanding of 

  operational processes

   like incident response, exception handling, rule/policy management, and capacity/performance planning.
• Ability to analyze risks, identify gaps, and recommend 

  practical security improvements

   aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Strong skills in 

  documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication

   for technical security assessments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education

  : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Professional certifications such as 

  CISA, CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, or ISO 27001 LA

   are a plus.

• Experience

  : 4–6 years in IT security, technical audit, or infrastructure/network/database administration with hands-on exposure to 

  enterprise security environments

  .

• Technical Knowledge

  :
• Network technologies (LAN, WAN, VPNs, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, WAFs, Proxies, Load Balancers).
• Databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Security solutions (DLP, CASB, EDR, PIM, NAC, APT tools).
• Encryption technologies (PKI, Key Vault, SSL/TLS, database encryption).

• Skills

  : Strong analytical, problem-solving, risk assessment, documentation, and communication skills.

• Mindset

  : Ability to work independently, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and deliver high-quality outcomes in complex environments.
