Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Manage and maintain Jira Protofilio to ensure that it supports an program needs and workflows

- Contribute to business cases and ensures that business cases get signed off in a timely way - Implements and maintains a consistent project management methodology ensuring project conforms to appropriate governance including all project documentation

- Develops and gains agreement to project plan; provides regular progress reports to key stakeholders and attend project committee meetings where required

- Identifying, managing and escalating risks and developing of contingency plans where necessary

- Identifies risk, assumptions, issues dependencies with business initiatives / activities and associated mitigation plan

- Establishing a working group subject matter experts and engineering team, directing their activities and ensuring task delegation and completion

- Determines, procures and manages appropriate resources to deliver the project (functional or divisional team and a small number of third parties)

- Manages all project communications

- Provides support in contract negotiation

- Monitor and ensure key milestones are accurately reflected and reporting is accurate

- Leads and manages a on premises or virtual project team

- Planning and monitoring the project. Taking responsibility for overall progress and use of resources and initiating corrective action where necessary

- Operate prioritisation mechanisms working with both the Programme Managers, the Technology functions and PMO services teams

- Operate Project continuous improvement via Lessons learnt and post implementation review

Requirement -

- Bachelor's or Master degree (Computer Science/Information Technology/Electronics & Communication/ Information Science/Telecommunications)

- Minimum 5 years of experience working with JIRA and Project Management, both at technical and functional level. - Working knowledge of project management in a multi disciplined and commercial environment

- Working knowledge of JIRA administration and orchestrated protfolio for planning, tracking and reporting techniques

- Stakeholder management, negotiation and conflict management, skills and ability to identify and escalate issues

- Experience of managing stakeholder relationships

- Good knowledge of project delivery lifecycle

- Ability to understand and manage project risks dealing with, uncertainty, whilst being proactive and forward looking

- Understanding of core business objectives and drivers

- Good attention to detail and a concern for accuracy

- Proven strong communication skills (written and verbal)

- Excellent organisational skills

- Working towards a recognised industry qualification, such as PMP, SaFe Agile, PRINCE 2

- Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SharePoint)
