CSA - IT Lead


Purpose of Role


The School IT Lead is responsible for overseeing the technology infrastructure and digital learning tools within the school. This role ensures the smooth operation of all IT systems, supports staff and students with technical issues, and leads the implementation of new technologies to enhance educational outcomes.

CSA IT Lead - Key Responsibilities


1. IT Infrastructure Management

  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware (computers, printers, projectors, etc.)
  • Manage school networks, servers, and internet connectivity
  • Ensure cybersecurity and data protection compliance

2. Technical Support

  • Provide timely support to teachers, students, and administrative staff
  • Train staff on the use of educational technology tools
  • Maintain an IT helpdesk system for issue tracking and resolution

3. Software & Systems Administration

  • Manage school management systems (e.g., attendance, grading, communication platforms)
  • Oversee licenses and updates for educational software
  • Support integration of digital tools into the curriculum

4. Strategic Planning & Budgeting

  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
  • Plan for future technology needs and upgrades
  • Manage the IT budget and procurement of equipment

5. Collaboration & Training

  • Work closely with school leadership to align IT with educational goals
  • Organize workshops and training sessions for staff
  • Stay updated on emerging educational technologies
