Role Summary

The Head of IT will be responsible for defining and executing the companys IT strategy and ensuring a robust, secure, and scalable technology infrastructure that supports business growth. This role combines strategic leadership, hands-on execution, and stakeholder management, positioning IT as a core business enabler rather than a support function.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Strategy, Governance & Leadership

• Define and execute the organizations IT vision, strategy, and technology roadmap aligned with business objectives.
  
• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on technology investments, automation, and digital transformation initiatives.
  
• Establish IT governance frameworks, policies, standards, and best practices across the organization.
  
• Build, mentor, and lead high-performing IT, infrastructure, and information security teams.
  

2. Infrastructure, Cloud & Systems Management

• Oversee end-to-end IT infrastructure, including servers, cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, and internal tools.
  
• Ensure high availability, scalability, reliability, and performance of all IT systems and services.
  
• Lead cloud adoption, migration, and optimization initiatives (AWS, Azure, GCP, as applicable).
  
• Manage and optimize enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, HRMS, and collaboration platforms.
  

3. Cybersecurity, Risk & Compliance

• Own and continuously enhance the organization’s information security posture.
  
• Design and implement cybersecurity frameworks, access controls, data protection mechanisms, and incident response plans.
  
• Ensure compliance with applicable security standards and regulations (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.).
  
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and disaster recovery planning.
  

4. Digital Transformation & Business Enablement

• Partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, AI, analytics, and system integrations.
  
• Drive digitization of internal workflows to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
  
• Ensure seamless integration between internal systems and third-party platforms to support business growth.
  

5. IT Operations & Service Management

• Ensure reliable IT operations and end-user support with minimal downtime across the organization.
  
• Define and manage IT Service Management (ITSM) processes, including incident, problem, change, and escalation management.
  
• Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as system uptime, response times, and user satisfaction.
  

6. Vendor, Budget & Cost Management

• Own IT budget planning and management, including CapEx and OpEx forecasting and cost optimization.
  
• Evaluate, negotiate, and manage vendors, system integrators, and technology partners.
  
• Establish, track, and enforce SLAs, vendor performance metrics, and value realization.
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Functional Expertise

• Strong experience in IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and enterprise systems.
  
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, data privacy, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  
• Proven experience managing ERP, CRM, HRMS, and enterprise SaaS platforms.
  
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, integrations, scalability, and performance optimization.
  

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 10–15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 4–6 years in a leadership role.
  
• Experience scaling IT functions in fast-growing, technology-driven, or startup environments.
  
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate technical initiatives into business outcomes.
  
• Experience working with AI, data platforms, SaaS, or digital-first organizations is a strong plus.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills.
  
• Hands-on leader with a strategic and execution-oriented mindset.
