IT Hardware & Networking Engineer

Job Title: IT Hardware & Networking Engineer / Server Administrator

Salary Range: Up to ₹6 LPA (depending on experience and skills)

Job Summary:

The Hardware & Networking Engineer / Server Administrator will be responsible for maintaining and managing the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, network systems, and hardware assets across all offices. The role involves troubleshooting hardware and network issues, ensuring server uptime, implementing data security measures, and providing on-site and remote technical support to users and branches.

Key Responsibilities:1. Hardware & Networking Management

· Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, routers, switches, and other network devices.

· Perform regular system upgrades and preventive maintenance on IT hardware.

· Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, LAN/WAN, and internet connectivity issues.

· Maintain and monitor network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.

· Support IT setup and maintenance for new branch offices or relocations.

2. Server Administration

· Manage, configure, and monitor Windows/Linux servers, file servers, mail servers, and backup servers.

· Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policies.

· Ensure data backups, recovery, and storage security policies are in place and functional.

· Monitor server health, resource utilization, and security logs to prevent outages.

· Perform OS patch management and system upgrades as required.

3. Security & Compliance

· Implement and maintain firewall, antivirus, and endpoint security solutions.

· Regularly audit IT systems to ensure compliance with company security standards.

· Manage user access rights, passwords, and IT security protocols.

· Ensure all systems are protected from unauthorized access and data breaches.

4. User Support & Coordination

· Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting to users both in-person and remotely.

· Coordinate with IT vendors for procurement, AMC, and technical support.

· Maintain hardware inventory and IT asset records.

· Visit company branches as required to oversee and support IT infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.

· 2–6 years of experience in hardware, networking, and server administration roles.

· Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and network topologies.

· Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, AD, DNS, DHCP, and firewall systems.

· Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) preferred.

· Familiarity with cloud backup and remote monitoring tools will be an advantage.

· Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
