Job Description

Job Profile: Networking and Hardware Engineer (IT)

Experience: 4-5 years

Timing: 9.30Am to 6.30Pm ( Saturday and Sunday off)

Role Overview

A Networking and Hardware Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and troubleshooting computer networks, as well as maintaining and repairing hardware systems. The role combines hands-on technical support with network administration to ensure smooth IT operations across an organization.

Key Responsibilities

Networking

Install, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks.
Monitor network performance and ensure system availability, reliability, and security.
Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
Manage IP addressing, subnetting, and VLAN configurations.
Implement and maintain network security solutions (firewalls, intrusion detection, VPNs).
Perform network backup and recovery tasks.
Collaborate with vendors and ISPs for network upgrades and troubleshooting.

Hardware

Install, assemble, and configure desktops, laptops, servers, printers, and other peripherals.
Diagnose and repair hardware issues (motherboards, hard drives, RAM, power supplies).
Perform preventive maintenance and system upgrades.
Manage hardware inventory, procurement, and asset tracking.
Support hardware integration with software systems.

Support & Administration

Provide Level 1 & Level 2 technical support for end-users.
Troubleshoot OS-level issues (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Ensure data backup, recovery, and storage management.
Document network and hardware configurations, troubleshooting steps, and SOPs.
Train users on hardware/network usage and safety best practices.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, HTTP, FTP, SMTP).
Hands-on experience with Cisco/Juniper/HP networking devices.
Knowledge of network security tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, endpoint protection).
Experience with server hardware (Dell, HP, IBM) and RAID configurations.
Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
Good knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
