Position: IR Lead (Investor Relations)

Location: Mumbai / Delhi / Hyderabad
Function: Investor Relations & Financial CommunicationsReporting To: Senior Leadership, Capital Markets Practice

Role Summary

The IR Lead will anchor investor communications and capital-market-linked advisory for our clients. This role is pivotal in managing financial storytelling, capital market updates, and investor engagement strategies. The individual will collaborate closely with client leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, insight-driven communications that resonate with the investor community.

This position is best suited for professionals with a strong grasp of business, finance, and reputation managementindividuals who can navigate between numbers and narratives with ease, while engaging with Founders, CEOs, and CXOs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Investor Communications:

    Draft quarterly updates, earnings releases, investor decks, AGM content, and regulatory filings with precision and clarity.
  • Capital Market Storytelling:

    Shape narratives that simplify complex financial data into compelling investor stories aligned with business growth and valuation drivers.
  • Strategic Advisory:

    Support capital market advocacy, reputation building, and proactive communications around IPOs, M&As, fundraising, and governance.
  • Client Leadership:

    Act as a trusted partner to client leadership teams, providing counsel on investor relations, disclosure norms, and reputational risks.
  • Media & Influencer Engagement:

    Build strong relationships with business journalists, financial influencers, and analysts to amplify client positioning.
  • Policy & Issues Management:

    Provide insights on regulatory developments, manage disclosure crises, and mitigate reputational risks in sensitive market situations.
  • Integration with Digital:

    Leverage new media—LinkedIn, podcasts, blogs, and AI tools—to strengthen investor and market outreach.
  • Collaboration:

    Work closely with internal teams across digital, research, and corporate affairs to create integrated campaigns.
  • Leadership:

    Mentor junior teams, inspire performance, and guide cross-functional collaboration.
  • P&L Responsibility:

    Manage practice revenues, profitability, and client growth.

Requirements

at least 4–14 years

  1. Domain Competence:

    Deep knowledge of business, capital markets, policy, and one or more industry sectors.
  2. Media & Digital Fluency:

    Familiarity with business media, digital influencer ecosystems, and emerging communication formats.
  3. Reputation Management:

    Hands-on experience with reputation, crisis, and issue management.
  4. Tech Savvy:

    Comfort with AI tools, analytics, and digital-first storytelling.
  5. New-Media Acumen:

    Understanding of podcasts, blogs, LinkedIn, and other emerging formats for investor outreach.
  6. Strategic Thinking:

    Ability to develop and execute communication strategies, campaigns, and plans.
  7. CXO Readiness:

    Intellectual and social competence to engage with Founders, CEOs, and CXOs.
  8. Client Centricity:

    High energy, strong trust-building skills, and ability to deliver client delight.
  9. Industry:

    Preferred candidates will have experience across combinations such as: Agency,  Public Relations, Corporate Communication, Media, IR, Public Policy, Consulting, Law & so on
  10. Continuous Learning:

    Strong academic background, well-read, with demonstrated ability to stay updated on current affairs, business trends, and industry insights.
  11. Leadership:

    Proven ability to mentor and inspire teams across diverse disciplines.
  12. Business Acumen:

    Prior experience managing P&Ls or client portfolios.
  13. Communication Skills:

    Strong written, oral, and presentation skills.
  14. Behavioral Fit:

    Candidates who perform well in psychometric assessments and receive strong professional references.
  15. Growth Mindset:

    Natural inclination for growth, extroverted with strong networking and relationship capital.
