Inventory Manager

1. responsibilities

1. maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all stock levels,movements and adjustments.

2. monitor inventory status regularly and initiate corrective actions as needed.

3. implement and manage inventory tracking systems and relevant software tools.

4. forecast inventory requirements based on sales trends and historical data.

5. oversee the receipt of goods and verify accuracy against purchase orders.

6. maintain cleanliness, safety and organization of physical inventory.

7. reconcile discrepancies in inventory audits and identify root causes of variances.

8. identify and mitigate risks related to theft, misplacement, or damage.

9. enforce internal controls and security measures to protect inventory integrity.

10. ensure smooth inter-departmental communication regarding stock availability and requirements.

11. protecting data privacy and security through appropriate measures.

12. managing access controls and user permissions.

13. coordinating with IT and data engineering teams to address data-related issues.

14. keeping abreast of the latest data management technologies and best practices.

requirements

1. ability to manage physical inventory and ensure accuracy and excellent organisation.
2. should have an eye for detail and ensure that the inventory process complies with quality control standards.
3. ability to communicate effectively with various departments and ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding the production process.
4. ability to lead and manage a team effectively, delegate tasks, and motivate team members to ensure that they work efficiently and effectively.
5. ability to identify and resolve production-related problems quickly and effectively.
6. ability to think creatively and identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
7. atleast 3 years of experience in the management of inventory of loose diamonds and coloured stones. .
8. proficiency in gati sje, microsoft office and google workspace
