Inventory Analyst

As an Inventory Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records, conducting audits, monitoring costs, analyzing data, and improving processes. Here is a breakdown of your responsibilities: - Inventory Accuracy & Reconciliation: - Ensure accuracy of inventory records across multiple locations. - Conduct periodic reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve them promptly. - Audits & Compliance: - Conduct timely surprise audits to verify stock levels and prevent discrepancies. - Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial reporting standards. - Cost of Carrying & Cost Control: - Analyze and monitor inventory carrying costs to optimize working capital. - Identify opportunities for cost reduction in inventory management and financial processes. - Data Analysis & Reporting: - Generate and analyze inventory reports to track trends and variances. - Provide insights to the finance team for better decision-making and cost control. - Coordination & Process Improvement: - Work closely with the warehouse, procurement, and finance teams to streamline inventory processes. - Implement best practices to improve inventory tracking and financial accuracy. Key Requirements: - Qualification: Bachelor's/Masters in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. - Experience: Proven experience in inventory analysis, financial reporting, and cost control. - Skills: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial tools and ERP systems.
