Interventional cardiologist

About The Opportunity

• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), including primary PCI for STEMI with a focus on transradial access.
• Manage acute coronary syndromes and cardiogenic shock pathways, leading rapid decision-making and stabilization in coordination with ICU teams.
• Lead and coordinate cath-lab procedures—pre-procedure planning, intra-procedural guidance, and post-procedure care including complications management.
• Utilize intravascular imaging and physiology (IVUS, FFR) to guide interventions and optimise outcomes; document procedural findings and metrics.
• Participate in multidisciplinary heart-team meetings for structural and complex coronary cases; support patient selection and consent processes.
• Mentor junior cardiologists and cath-lab staff, contribute to protocol development, quality improvement, and compliance with clinical governance.
  

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

• DM / DNB / DrNB Cardiology with formal interventional training
• Valid registration to practice medicine in India
• Proven experience performing PCI including primary PCI and high-volume diagnostic angiography
• Hands-on experience with IVUS and FFR-guided interventions
• Proficiency in transradial access techniques
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalent
  

Preferred

• Experience with chronic total occlusion (CTO) interventions
• Familiarity with optical coherence tomography (OCT)
• Exposure to structural heart interventions (TAVR, MitraClip) or heart-team workflows
